The main objective of this training course is to enable participants to acquire, transfer and formalize knowledge in the field of sustainable essential oil production, with a focus on production stages, optimization of resources and compliance with standards. The aim is to produce high-quality essential oils suitable for regional and international export. In doing so, participants will be made aware of the following elements:
- The adoption of a High Environmental Quality (HEQ) approach by industry players, in particular producers, and perpetuate a model for reducing pressure on wood and water resources.
- Learn about innovative and structuring sustainable production practices, ensuring high productivity and a better distribution of profit margins.
- Develop the different stages in the production of sustainable essential oils, and explore techniques for recovering the waste from this production.
This training was in a train-the-trainer mode. The target groups are as follows
- Essential oil production and export organizations and groups.
- Organizations supporting essential oil producers.
- Intermediary organizations (centers and establishments promoting cosmetic and medicinal plants).
